Bookkeeper, Dubai

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Exelot, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Record and reconcile daily transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor laws.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and identify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax preparations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and other tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns as required.
• Provide support to the finance team with budgeting and financial analysis tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or e-commerce industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with VAT regulations and tax compliance in the UAE is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial management software.
• Familiarity with international financial regulations and compliance.
